Because of the stop in production of Hitachi EM/EMII PLCs, the EEPROM memory module (MPM-2E) inventory in the factory warehouse has been depleted. Fortunately, Lighthouse PLCs is able to offer you alternative solutions.

It is possible to write your program onto a new EPROM memory module. The EPROM (MPM-2R) are not read/write as the EEPROM (MPM-2E) are. Once the program is written, or 'burned', the program can only be changed after being erased by a UV Source. Then it can be burned again. However, the MPM-2R performs just as well as your old MPM-2E in your PLC. Access time is just as fast as with the EEPROMs so your scan time does not diminish. A programmed EPROM retains its data for about ten to twenty years and can be read an unlimited number of times. With the right equipment you can make program changes yourself, or you can send it in to us and we will do the job for you! We can even print out the documentation of your program for troubleshooting and machinery malfunction diagnosis. This adds a vital solution to a problem you may face due to the stop in production of the EM/EMII and their EEPROM memory modules.
