S10_CPU Manual
This manual explains how to handle basic component modules of the S10mini, such as CPUs, power supplies, mount bases, memory modules, and so forth.

S10_CPU LINK Manual
This hardware manual is on the optional S10mini CPU LINK Module. The CPU LINK Module is used to transfer I/O image data between CPUs.
S10 D.NET Hardware Manual
The D.NET module (model: LQE070, LQE170, LQE175) conforms to the DeviceNet (*1) standard and performs data communication with various types of devices for DeviceNet connected to the network as a master module, peer module, or slave module depending on the setting. (See example under D.Station)

S10 D.Station Hardware Manual
System configuration of the D.Station is shown below. The D.Station module (Model LQS070) connects to a network that meets the standard and communicates data between master stations (D.NET module, etc.).

S10 ET.NET Hardware Manual
The ET.NET module (LQE020) is connected to a local area network conforming to the IEEE802.3 specifications, and performs data communication by the TCP/IP or UDP/IP protocol.
S10 FL.NET Hardware Manual
The FL.NET module (LQE000) functions as an Open FA (factory automation) network that is standardized by the Japan FA Open System Promotion Group (JOP) of the Manufacturing Science and Technology Center, which is an organization affiliated to the Ministry of International Trade and Industry. As shown below, this network can interconnect programmable controller (PLCs), computer numerical control (CNC) devices, and various other factory automation controller and personal computers of many different brands to exercise control and monitoring functions.

S10 IR.LINK Hardware Manual
This Hardware Manual addresses the IR.LINK module (type LQE046). The IR.LINK works in conjunction with the IR.Station module (LQS021). The IR.LINK communicates digital or analog data with the IR.Station, and supports a function that starts up a task upon the detection of a change in digital input.
S10 OD.RING Hardware Manual
The OD.RING module (LQE010/LQE015) shares data by performing memory transfer between CPUs. For I/O data, the maximum data sharing size is 4,096 points. For word data, the size is 4,096 words.
S10 RS-232C Hardware Manual
The RS-232C module (model LQE060) conforms to the EIA RS-232C specifications and provides asynchronous or H-7338 protocol data communications.
S10 RS-232C/422 Hardware Manual
The RS-232C module (Model: LQE160) and the RS-422 module (Model: LQE165) execute date communication under a free-running protocol or under the H-7338 protocol pursuant to the EIA RS-232C/RS-422 specifications.
S10 OPT.D-NET Hardware Manual
The following shows an example of the Optical Adapter system configuration. The Optical Adapter (model HPC-8500) is a device that enables connection of a DeviceNet network by using optical cable. This device is intended to make the DeviceNet network connectable by optical cable, but can also connect a CAN-only network by optical cable. Therefore, "DeviceNet" means "DeviceNet or CAN" in the following descriptions.

S10 SV.LINK Hardware Manual
The SV.LINK module (Model LQE021) is used in conjunction with the MELSEC A Series sequencer or motion controller from Mitsubishi Electric Corp. to exercise the high-speed I/O communication function on a peer-to-peer basis. The high-speed I/O communication function is exercised to rapidly exchange I/O data between the S10mini and the MELSEC device over an IEEE802.3-compliant physical line by using the UDP/IP protocol.

Each S10mini/S10V provides both sequence and computer control:

Compact PMS (Compact Process Monitor System) is an operating system that adds multitasking and real-time capabilities to sequence control features Using the CPMS

allows you to fully utilize the S10mini for control purposes as a true personal computer.

Pseudo Multitasking:

At power up, the initial task is activated, after which it activates required tasks. They are executed in decreasing order of priority. If, while a task is being executed, a request to run a task assigned a higher priority is submitted, control is passed to that task and the current task is suspended. When the reason for suspension has disappeared (e.g. when processing of a task having a higher priority has been completed), the suspended task is restarted. From a macroscopic standpoint, it appears that multiple tasks are being performed simultaneously.

Real-time processing:

If a task with a higher priority is activated by an external interrupt during execution of a task, control is immediately passed to that task and the current task is suspended

until it is completed.
