F-xxMR*
Provided you have the program in your F-Series documented (printout, program saved on computer, or have a working hand-held programmer), your program will probably work in a AX1s (or newer model).
F1-xxMR
 The closest replacement for this unit was the FX0S-xxMR-ES which has 24VDC (Sink or source selectable) inputs and relay outputs. Best solution today is AX1s-xxMR*, provided you have the program documented (printed, saved on computer, or have working hand-held programmer).
F2-xxMR
 Same as for the F1 (above) - Best solution today is AX1s-xxMR, provided you have program documented.
F/F1/F2-xxMR
 FX0S-xxMR-ES/UL - This Unit was an EXACT I/O replacement. However the FX0S was not expandable. The FX0S had DC Inputs (Sink or Source Selectable) and Relay Outputs.
NOTE: If you required expansion capability then you had to go to an FXON PLC. The FX0N-xxMR-ES/UL had DC Inputs (Sink or Source Selectable) and Relay outputs. The unit could be expanded to 128 I/O.
FXOs
 The closes match today (2007) is the (Shihlin) AX1s.
PM-60
 The closest replacement for the PM-60 is the FX0N-60MR. It has the same I/O configuration and is considerably smaller.
FX / FXo / FXos
 The best solutions today (2007) is the (Shihlin) AX1s. You can retrieve the program from your FX/FXo/FXos with the AX-232AW-S Serial Interface unit and FX or GX Developer Software. You can then upload the program (as-is / without modification) to the AX1s.
FXon
 The best solution today (2007) is the (Shihlin) AXon or perhpas the AX1n.

If you have one of these models, you may be able to upgrade to a FX1s or FX1n. The problem with the F, F1, and F2, is retrieving the program. The hand-held programmer and the serial interface units are no longer available, so there is no way to "download" the program for use in the new PLCs. Interface cables are available for the FX, FXo and FXos. MEDOC programming software is still available, but you need a cable for the FX and/or FXos. If you are lucky enough to have the interface unit (i.e. F2-20GF1 or F-Link) for the F1/F2, MEDOC will work and allow you to download. (By the way, the F2-20GF1, F-Link and A-Link are worth their weight in gold).

AXOn (FXOn)/AXOn

The Mitsubishi FXon is no longer available.

The AXon(FXon) range of products offer users certain model variations which can switch higher current output signals and receive AC input signals.
As with all the Mitsubishi/Shihlin "brick" type controllers, the power supply, CPU and I/O components are presented in a single products.
The AXon(FXon) is the smallest programmable controller of its kind.
The AXon(FXon) is totally (100%) compatible in a programming sense with its (obsolete) AXo(FXo) counterpart.
