EH-150
Series
Modular, low-cost
micro PLC The EH-150 Series is considered a true power pack. At the heart of this PLC is a 32 bit microprocessor, which enables the user to individually adapt the CPU and various I/O modules to a specific application. Various extensions allow the system to be expanded to 1024 I/Os. As part of a network, the extension potential is virtually limitless. Outstanding CPU performance features include: integrated PID-commands, floating point arithmetic, two serial interfaces as standard, one of which can be used as software-modem-interface. Flexibility and modularity of the EH-150 Series are enhanced by extensive network abilities, especially with regards open fieldbus systems. No matter whether food packaging machines need to be automated or high-speed controls of a production line: The Hitachi EH-150 Series PLC is "open" for any type of application. More...

Large PLC for Plant Engineering The H Series is designed for plant engineering, featuring a high-performance CPU that is considered the ultimate of its class. Remarkable processing speeds of up to 0.05 ms/command allow the automation of all those tasks which a smaller PLC cannot handle. Also, functionality, flexibility and user-friendliness put the H-Series in a class of its own. Numerous special modules are available. The hardware can be expanded to 4096 I/Os (virtually limitless expansion via network), making this series the preferred system for automating medium to highly complex processes.

One of Rockwell Automation's earlier acquisitions, the Sprecher & Schuh SESTEP, 390, 490, 590 and 690 range of PLCs were actually Hitachi H Series PLCs. Our cross reference shows the equivalent Hitachi Part Numbers to Sprecher & Schuh Part Numbers. In some cases the only identification found on the Sprecher & Schuh is an Article Number, this is also shown in the table.

Small, compact, powerful! These were central aspects in the development of the Hitachi EC Series, a micro PLC feature "all-in-one housing technology". Applying the latest development and manufacturing technologies, Hitachi minimized the area needed for installing 20/28/40/60 I/Os to only 170 X 80 mm. In addition, the same series also offers modules for analog input. The makes the EC Series one of the most compact PLCs in the world! It excels wherever maximum automation has to be achieved with minimum means: in power control and supply systems, in food and packaging industries, and for HVAC systems.

A 20 Year Phenenomen! The EM-II series comes fully equipped with high processing speed of 1.5s per basic instruction and large program capacity of 3,9976 words, giving it the ability to handle the next generation of Factory Automation. An EIA232C (RS232C) communications port is provided with the CPM-E3 type CPU for direct connection with a personal computer, and a real time clock is incorporated as well. Various efficient functions are incorporated to permit controlling sophisticated numerical operations, and mounting analog I/O modules applicable to temperature or flow control, etc. The EM-II Series is an up-to-date controller most applicable to small to medium scale factory automation.

RELIANCE ELECTRIC : Shark X, Shark XL, Shark XLII Reliance Electric was purchased by Rockwell Automation in 1994. Reliance became part of the Rockwell family, taking direction from Allen-Bradley, which Rockwell had acquired in 1985. Reliance manufactured the AutoMax® and AutoMate® systems. However, the Shark X, Shark XL, and SharkXLII were actually Hitachi E-Series, EM-Series, and EMII series (respectively). The Shark X (Hitachi-E) was a "fixed I/O" (sometimes referred to as a "brick") PLC. The Hitachi E was replaced by the "EB", and then by the "EC" (see the "EC" on this page). The program running in your Shark X will work in the Hitachi EC. Contact our Tech Support for assistance if you need to upgrade. Many of the Shark XL and XLII series (Hitachi EM and EMII) components are still made today. You can contact our Tech Support for help in crossing this over, or just visit our Cross-Reference table!

FURNAS ELECTRIC : 96H, 96J, 96K, and 96M Series PLCs Up until Furnas Electric was purchased by Siemens Automation, their PLCs were "brand labeled". If your Furnas PLC Model Number started with 96H, 96J, or 96K, then they were actually Mitsubishi PLCs. If your Furnas PLC Model started with 96M, then it was actually a Hitachi PLC. Replacements are available for some of these, but not all. In most cases you will have to upgrade to a more current model, which means you will need to somehow retrieve the program from the old unit. We may be able to help you with that, too, whether the old unit was a Mitsubishi or Hitachi. Contact our Technical Support Specialists for assistance (including quotations). Furnas to Mitsubishi
